Middle School Division Update
Update Adviser Information - September 8
This annual form allows us to make sure we have the most up to date information about you and your chapter. Each adviser must complete by September 8 to ensure that they receive the most up to date information.
New Membership Database - FBLA Connect
The National Center has created a one stop shop for a brand new membership database beginning this year! Advisers should have received an email from FBLA Connect about logging in and updating their profile. Since this system is brand new to all parties, the National Center is hosting virtual trainings on how to utilize the system. It is required to attend at least on training - they last about 1.5 hours. RSVP at the links below. Each training should be very similar and recorded.
New Adviser Training - September 20
Advisers with 0 – 3 years of experience are invited to join FBLA State Staff for a one day event to learn how to successfully manage an FBLA chapter. This event is free and will include lunch. Veteran advisers are invited to attend and share their tips and tricks with attendees. There will only be one in person training from
10 AM - 3 PM in Jefferson City at McClung Park. RSVP by September 13.
Career Day Opportunities
This is the perfect opportunity to recruit membership for the year! While not hosted by MO FBLA, chapters are encouraged to attend and learn about various careers. The Royals, Cardinals, and Silver Dollar City are each hosting this year. Click on the links below for more information and to order your tickets.
DESE Mentoring Program - September 7
If you are a new teacher – complete the application below as a Protégé and plan to attend the DESE Mentoring Meeting September 7 in Jefferson City.

If you are a ‘seasoned’ teacher – complete this application to Mentor a new teacher and attend the September 7 DESE Mentoring Meeting in Jefferson City. You will receive a $500 stipend for helping a first year protégé and $250 for the second-year IF you complete all parts of the mentoring program with your protégé.

Please contact Leslie Crider with any questions.
Parent Reimbursement Grant - September 30
Every school has funds to reimburse the parents of CTE students through the Parent Reimbursement Grant. CTSO supplies such as business professional clothes, gavels, study material, and even electronic devices can be purchased and reimbursed through this grant. Check with your administration on how your school handles the reimbursement.

There is plenty of money left in this grant. Some schools have spent all of their allotment, while others have not touched a penny. The deadline to submit reimbursement is September 30.

Please, please, please look into this for your students.
