Hello Team, hope everyone is in good health.
Why is April important to every Exchange member? April is “Prevention of Child Abuse” month, our National, District, and Local Exchange clubs #1 Pillar of Service. Not only in April, members engage and support Prevention of Child Abuse Centers throughout Georgia. Exchange members please continue your unwavering support for Child Abuse Centers, because they are the Exchange Clubs vehicle to Prevent child Abuse. Don’t forget to wear your Blue on Mondays to support Prevention of Child Abuse.
Make your plans NOW to attend the Georgia District Convention in Columbus. It is going to be GREAT! Register, pack your bags and be ready, because we are planning a fun and knowledge packed convention in Columbus. June 22-25.2023. You will meet new friends and catch up with the old ones.
Remember the Awards documentation dates are fast approaching. Complete your packets and get them turned in so your club can be honored at the convention. Hopefully, the Georgia District will have a repeat this year with our A.C.E. and Youth of the Year winning at National.
God Bless
J.P. Cooper

Exchange Club of Lee County

March Youth Art Month
Exchange Club of Lee County, the Georgia District newest Exchange has hit th eground running with their first Youth Project , Youth Art Month.
March is “Youth Art Month” and in an effort to increase the recognition and visibility of art in our schools, the Exchange Club of Lee County sponsored the “Lee County Art Exhibition.” The work of students from Lee County Primary, Lee County Elementary, Kinchafoonee Primary and Twin Oaks Elementary Schools will be on display at the Lee County Oakland Library for one week for the community and friends and family to observe.
Club members built the display stands that showcased more than 80 pieces of amazing art from these young artists!
The students and their families were invited to come and enjoy the Art Exhibition as well as participate in the Recognition Program where each student received a certificate for their outstanding work. Over 325 students and their families, along with a number of Exchange Club Members attended.
Special thanks to the Art Teachers at the schools for all they did to make this a huge success. Also, a special thanks to the Lee County Library System for providing a location for these young people to display their art !
It was a huge success and plans are already in place for next year!
We would like other Clubs to consider doing something similar and possibly make this a District project!
