The photos and slide decks from the 2023 NYSTIA Annual Meeting and Tourism Excellence Awards in Rochester, NY are now available!

The event's success wouldn't have been possible without our partners, presenters, and team. Huge thank you in particular our market host Visit Rochester (Shout out to Don Jeffries, Amanda Fox, Greg LaDuca, Rachel Laber-Pulvino, and Wendy O'Duffy!) for their incredible hospitality and for putting together the unforgettable "Roots of Rochester FAM Tour" on Wednesday afternoon and the Rochestarian "Build Your Own Garbage Plate" afterparty on Thursday evening. Thank you to NYSTIA Annual Meeting presenting partners Rove and Miles Partnership for bringing us insightful presentations on Thursday and Friday (well done, Geoff Lacher, Julie Armstrong, Danae Jones & Kim Palmer!), and our New York State Tourism Excellence Awards presenting partner Advance Media New York / NY Up who provided another fantastic Sizzle Reel for our ceremony (kudos to Bridget Cerrone & Matt Sourwine!). Kudos to the Strong National Museum of Play (thank you, Sara Poe!) for the unforgettable FUN provided at the Awards ceremony and reception! And finally, thank you to the staff at the Hyatt Regency Rochester for their sincere efforts to provide a quality experience to our attendees.

Take the 2023 NYSTIA DEAI Survey:

Hello Fellow NYS Tourism Industry:

As we continue our work in the NYSTIA Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) initiative, we ask you to participate in our new, brief survey. This survey delves into DEAI in our workplace, visitation, and marketing.

Our goal is to assess our progress and future needs to support DEAI initiatives that will help all of us to grow our business. This survey is designed to be shared. The more feedback we can get from the NYS tourism industry, the better. Please send this to your stakeholders, members or partners – they do not have to be NYSTIA members to participate.

Thank you for your help in deepening our understanding so that we can provide initiatives that will make a difference for all of us. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or if you would like to get involved with our committee!
