2023 IS IN THE BOOKS! HERE ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS:

1 New Country

We are thrilled to announce that in August, we were able to expand to Kenya and launch a full-scale water program there. In the last few months of 2023, we drilled 11 new wells in Kenya and have planned 30-40 more for 2024. We also have a couple of other expansions in the works and will be excited to announce those as they happen.

4 New Schools Built

Thanks to generous donors, Family Humanitarian was able to construct three new schools in Uganda and one new school in Ghana. These schools will provide the gifts of education and a brighter future to over 2,100 students annually. These children will now have the opportunity to dream big and fulfill those dreams.

4 New In-Country Directors

One of the biggest sources of our success lies in the amazing, native, in-country directors that we employ in the countries in which we work. They make sure that each project is carried out with efficiency, excellence, and sustainability. We are blessed to have been able to hire 4 new, remarkable young men to keep things flowing smoothly as we grow. You can learn more about them on the About Us page of our website.

4 Expeditions

178 people participated in an amazing, life-changing adventure where they had the opportunity to work side-by-side with local villagers on sustainable water and education projects that promote empowerment and self-reliance. They immersed themselves in a new culture, expanded their hearts and minds, and made friends and memories that will last a lifetime.

81 New Water Projects

More than 160,000 people were given the gift of clean water for life this year. In addition to the drilling of new boreholes, we also spent the time necessary to get older boreholes put into our digital tracking system and are ready and excited for new growth. We anticipate drilling between 100-150 new boreholes in 2024 and are pleased to announce that we are currently working with about a 2-4 month turnaround time from when boreholes are sponsored until they are complete.
