The 2023 FaithWorks Campaign Materials were mailed to all parishes last week. Reports from various parishes are that distribution went well. If your parish has not received its package, please let me know.

The packages include posters, brochures, donations cards and a campaign manual. These materials are designed to help each parish share the good news of the good work that FaithWorks does.

The poster is meant to be displayed in a prominent location from now and throughout the year. We do not know who or when the Holy Spirit calls for help. The poster may be the spark that lights a fire in someone's soul.

The brochure packages can be distributed in Church, at meetings, at activities or events or through the mail. The brochure tells of front-line experiences of the work that FaithWorks supports. It includes a summary of the impact your donation to FaithWorks. It lists the wide variety of FaithWorks’ ministry partners.

I would very much like to hear of your FaithWorks campaign events and any new or innovative ways to distribute the FaithWorks brochure packages. I can then share this with others through this newsletter.

Digital materials were also sent to each parish as we have all pivoted to the digital world over the last few years.

The materials are designed to draw people’s attention to the FaithWorks website, faithworks.ca There a person can learn more about FaithWorks, read stories of how FaithWorks helps people, watch videos about the work of FaithWorks and become involved by supporting the mission of FaithWorks.

Staff from FaithWorks and our ministry partners are delighted to be invited to a parish and share a few words about the work that FaithWorks helps support. A speaker often enhances a FaithWorks’ event and campaign result. You can book a visit at the FaithWorks Speaker’s Bureau at [email protected]

I pray that every parish participates in this year’s FaithWorks campaign and that every campaign is successful. In this way we can do more to help our struggling and vulnerable sisters and brothers among us.

A $100,000 Matching Challenge Grant for 2023

A generous donor has offered a $100,000 matching challenge grant for all new and increased donations. That means for every dollar raised over last year’s amount, by an individual or parish, FaithWorks receives an extra dollar. We encourage you to make a special effort this year –

doing a little more can make twice the difference.
