Dear Athletes,

We are thrilled to welcome you all to the 2023 Canadian Water Ski Championships at Shalom Park in Edmonton, AB. The event will take place from Tuesday, August 8 to Saturday, August 12, promising an action-packed week of thrilling competitions and camaraderie. Here are some important updates and reminders for you:

EVENT DETAILS:

Date: Tuesday, August 8 - Saturday, August 12, 2023
Location: Shalom Park, Edmonton, AB
On-Site Registration: Please make sure to register at the banquet hall upon your arrival, before you compete.

All athletes, please verify your registration information. Make sure to check your division, the events you're registered for, and your ramp height. If you need to make any adjustments, please contact us at info@wswc.ca as soon as possible.

ATHLETE BIOS:

We invite all athletes to fill out their bios, which will be used by the announcers during the competitions. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your accomplishments and showcase your talent to the audience.

CALLING VOLUNTEERS:

Safety Volunteers:

We are in need of Safety volunteers throughout the event. If you are willing to lend a helping hand, please contact our Chief Safety, Crystal McLeod, at crysmcleod@gmail.com or call 250-462-1428.

Volunteer Opportunities:

If you’re interested in volunteering at the event, let us know! We’re always looking for volunteers to help out on-site. Whether it’s judging, dock starting, assisting with the BBQ/Banquet and more, we’ve got a space for you! Your involvement would be greatly appreciated and add to the spirit of our event.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

BBQ & U25 NIGHT:

Join us for a complimentary BBQ for all skiers on Thursday, August 10, following the event. If you wish to purchase additional tickets, please do so ASAP. Whether you are participating in the event or not, kindly RSVP to the BBQ so we can make adequate arrangements. If you have any dietary restrictions please note them in the RSVP.

On the same evening, we will also host a thrilling U25 Night. Enjoy games like Spike ball, cornhole, basketball, and a cozy bonfire. It's the perfect opportunity to make new friends and cherish moments with old ones.

BANQUET:

The Banquet will be held on-site on Saturday, August 12, 2023. This event is complimentary for all competitors. The dress code is Summer Cocktail. During the Banquet, we will honor the Overall medalists from Nationals, present the 2022 WSWC Award recipients, and acknowledge the National Teams, among other exciting announcements. If you have any dietary restrictions please note them in the RSVP.

SILENT AUCTION:

Don't miss out on the Silent Auction! The auction items will be available for bidding from the BBQ through to the Banquet, where the winners will be announced.
