The 2023 Illinois High School State Hockey Championships return to the United Center on Sunday, March 19, presented by BioSteel! The event will kick off at 11:00 a.m. with the Girls Varsity State Championship game followed by the Boys Combined Varsity State Championship game at 1:00 p.m., and then closing the event will be the Boys Red Varsity State Championship at 3:30 p.m. General admission tickets are just $10 for access to the entire day's slate of championship action, with gates set to open at 9:30 a.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.

Addendum to the 2023 Girls Tier II State Tournament Rules:

Any coach (head coach or assistant coach) who violates any part of Rule 601 – Abuse of Officials or Other Misconduct shall be suspended for the remainder of the 2023 Girls Tier II State Tournament up to & included the Championship games. 

If a coach violates Rule 601 – Abuse of Officials or Other Misconduct, she/he will be suspended from ALL teams for which they are listed on the certified roster.

For example: If the Head Coach for a 12u team is also a Head Coach or an Assistant Coach for the Organization’s 14u team, & Rule 601 is sited as the violation, this coach would be ineligible to be on the bench for either team.

RULE 601 – ABUSE OF OFFICIALS OR OTHER MISCONDUCT CAN BE FOUND IN THE USA HOCKEY OFFICIAL RULES OF ICE HOCKEY 2021-25 EDITION

PLEASE REMIND YOUR PLAYERS THAT THEY MUST ADHERE TO THE EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES PER USA HOCKEY (this includes mouth guards).

Remember that ALL teams MUST wear the appropriate equipment, neck guards, ear guards and mouth guards at the appropriate level. Manage misconducts and game misconducts accordingly, officials and players safety is number one concern. Should you have a reportable penalty please report it ASAP.
