Candidate for the Position of West Central Region Director
Greetings West Central Region,
It has been my honor to serve you for the past two years and I seek to continue serving you for a second term. Our region has substantially contributed to the Florida Nurses Association mission of advancing the profession of nursing and promoting a healthy Florida.
Our collective efforts have addressed and strengthened the pillars of our region; Community Outreach, Student Engagement, and Legislative Grassroots Advocacy. We have addressed the healthcare needs of the vulnerable and undeserved LGBTQ+ Community, honored 2023 National Nurses Month through DeSoto, Hillsborough, and Pinellas Board of County Commissioners Proclamations, spoken with students at Pasco-Hernando State College, University of South Florida-Tampa & St. Petersburg, Nova Southeastern University-Tampa Bay, Herzing University Tampa, Kaiser University, State College of Florida-Manatee & Sarasota, Galen College of Nursing-Tampa Bay, and represented our home districts at the State Capitol before the Florida Legislature introducing SB 380/HB 587 Protection from Surgical Smoke and recurring funding for the Florida Center of Nursing.
