MEET BRENT AND GIAVONNI
Brent and Giavonni have been matched for two years! Brent stated that Giavonni has played an incredible role in his life! He (and his Aunt) have been one of the first meaningful connections he has made since moving down to Charlotte three years ago, and they have come a long way since. Brent stated, "We definitely come from different backgrounds, but that goes to show how friendships can come from anywhere. There are so many great people out there that we miss out on by not being willing to step out of our comfort zone – credit to Giavonni for helping to further enlighten me here! " As far as activities go, they try to mix it up, but more than anything they have logged a lot of hours at the park. Brent shared that Giavonni's basketball game is rapidly improving, but he has a few years still before he takes him down!

FOUNDER OF MY FUTURE MATCH EVENT!

 The Pop Up Series and our Big, TaiJaune Robinson, led an amazing match event this past week! This event focused on youth health and wellness, and leadership. Matches had the opportunity to connect, while exploring amazing activities such as goal setting, creating vision boards, affirmations, STEM activities, and more!

After all the fun, our Matches received a certificate of completion and My Purpose Pledge! #biggertogether #empoweringpotential

GAME NIGHT FOR OUR BIGS!

We had a BLAST celebrating our Bigs for #NationalMentoringMonth! Thank you to Luck Factory Games for hosting game night, and Cara's Cookie Company for providing sweet treats for our matches! We are BIGGER together, because of our mentors. #biggertogether
BOWL FOR KIDS' SAKE...SHAMROCK STYLE!

Bowl for Kids’ Sake (BFKS) is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser. Each year hundreds of supporters come together to have fun and raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas!

As a participant, you are raising funds to support one-to-one mentorship, and empower children to reach their potential! Bowl for Kids’ Sake is the perfect way for individuals to make an impact on our community.

We ask that each bowler set a goal to raise $150, or their team raises $1,000. (Minimum $50 per bowler).
