Have you ever seen this notification on your screen? It’s because you are a Location Admin for your store(s). A Location Admin has the ability to authorize terminals. Terminal authorizations should only have to happen once per user terminal, unless a recent user cleared their history or cookies, or switched browsers.
The short version is this — if you see this tan box on the upper right corner of your screen, you can take care of it for your store users. Just follow these four steps.
- Click on the pending terminal request link in the tan box in the upper right corner
- Click Terminal Requests on the left
- Click approve

That’s all there is to it! If this is a daily thing, it’s usually due to a browser setting. For help on this, please contact mnsupport@vitu.com, or call our Support helpline at 651-427-9700 option 2 and anyone on our team can help to correct the issue.
Also, did you know that as a Location Admin, you can create new users and create/rename inventory allocations? These are all things that can be taken care of in-house without involving our Support team, but if you need assistance with any of these, please feel free to call or email at the information above.

Are you noticing deals that were in Sold status and have converted back to Sold Init status? Or you need to Finalize a deal that’s in Sold Init status? If so, these deals were not completed, and therefore not in Pending status. MNDRIVE will rollback submitted EVTR transactions that were not completed. Deals in the Sold status are Submitted, but not Complete. The transaction will rollback at midnight and revert to Sold Init status, and your Deputy Registrar will be unable to view or process the transaction. All deals should be in Pending status when they reach the Title Certified staff member. The deal is then complete and can be finalized, then sent to your Deputy Registrar for processing.
In addition, when a transaction rolls back, the assigned inventory will roll back, as well. The previously assigned inventory will go into Reserved status to reserve it for that deal so it can’t be used on another, but the intended transaction technically has no inventory. To ensure your deals are done, get them into Pending status.

We know you’d like to lessen any confusion or delays in processing Title and Registration at the state, so please remember that any correction documents that are mailed to a Vitu Hub MUST be put in a separate package from the transaction deals pending to be audited. It is also very important to include a copy of the cover sheet with the correction documents, and to mail them to the appropriate Vitu Hub — the same destination where you sent your original paperwork.
Be sure to address it to:
Vitu Interstate ATTN: Corrections
Following this process ensures that the proper correction document is attached to the appropriate transaction deal and is received in a timely manner. If you have any questions regarding where to send correction documents to, please feel free to reach out to us using the Communications Tab.

While you’re using Vitu, you may have some common questions. Below are some frequently asked questions and some answers that might help.
Why is my deal inactive?
The transaction may have gone beyond 60 days if it’s in an error status or 90 days if in other statuses. To move forward with the process, the transaction must be resubmitted.
I made an error on the VIN/make/model/titling-state — how can I fix that issue?
Please proceed to recreate the deal.
My transaction is completed but I need to fix the lienholder because it's wrong or update an address — how to proceed?
Vitu Interstate offers Interstate Manual Services for this correction, so please get in touch with Vitu Interstate for further guidance.
The pre-audit team has approved my pre-audits, but I cannot locate a generated shipping label.
Once the pre-audit is complete and the monitoring agent notifies that the deal is ready to be sent to service, click the Send to State button to generate a shipping label.
Can I apply for a duplicate title?
Yes, please contact support for further information and guidance on how to apply.

Did you know lienholder codes and addresses vary from state to state? As such, it is best to always contact the lienholder, ask them for the registering state code and verify the address. For the states with lienholder codes listed on their websites, the lienholder name, address, and lienholder code must match what is on the state website exactly. If the registering state has a website with lien codes, we provide a Lienholder information page in the merged document explaining to reference the state website (example below). Again, we just always ask you verify it is correct.

California penalties are significant and can be in excess of 40% of the amount of the fees due to the state — even for being just one day late. WE CAN HELP!
One way to reduce and sometimes avoid penalties entirely is to “post fees” within 20 days of the date of sale of the vehicle being registered/transferred. “Posting fees” is the process of remitting estimated license and registration fees to the DMV before submitting the documentation necessary to finalize the registration and/or transfer of ownership. For more information please see our Posting CA Fees guide.
