LEISURE
DEVELOPMENT COURSE
|
|
The 48th Annual Leisure Development Course (LDC) was held on June 7-11th at the Silver Star Resort outside of Vernon.
LDC has partnered with RFABC to ensure the continued success of this innovative professional development for parks, recreation, culture, and community development personnel.
RFABC was honoured to join in with Chris Nelson this year along with 20 students and 4 instructors from BC and Alberta. Chris has dedicated 48 years to one of Canada’s premiere education opportunities, and this 5-day course is a true testament of his passion for the recreation industry.
Students not only receive instruction from those working in the industry, but are encouraged to engage in several activities outside of class time. This fosters friendships and networks that will last a lifetime. The essence of this course goes far beyond learning practical skills for working in recreation.
RFABC is dedicated to continuing this course, and encourages you to learn more if you are looking for professional and personal growth. Upon completion of this three year, flexible program, you will receive credits to Langara College. Click Here for more info and stay tuned for the 2024 course info.
The Leisure Development Course is proud to partner with:
