Volunteers Sought for New UCSF Disability Awareness Campaign: The Office of Communications seeks UCSF faculty and staff with disabilities willing to share their stories as part of a new campaign to raise awareness of the full scope of disability resources offered at UCSF and to foster a sense of belonging of all people. Participation in this campaign is voluntary. Faculty and staff interested in participating should contact Lisa Cisneros for more information.  

May 5th Town Hall to Mark End of COVID-19 Public Health Emergency: Join UCSF Chancellor Sam Hawgood and UCSF leaders for the monthly town hall on Friday, May 5. This town hall will feature a segment to mark the expiration of the federal Public Health Emergency for COVID-19. Get key insights from Robert Wachter, chair of the Department of Medicine, who served as a trusted source of information on the pandemic. Wachter will moderate a panel of experts, including Chief Clinical Officer Josh Adler, Chief Pharmacy Officer Desi Kotis, Chief of Emergency Medicine Maria Raven, Sarah Doernberg, associate professor of clinical medicine, and Carina Marquez, associate professor of medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma. Register for the Helen Nahm Research Lecture on May 25: UCSF School of Nursing alumna Eun-Ok Im (SON ’95, ’97), now a professor at Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, will discuss her research in women’s health and a program she launched that uses the internet and mobile tech to address health disparities for midlife women.
