Housing Deadline is Less than A Week Away
Housing Deadline is September 10, 2023!
ACCG has blocks remaining at three hotels for conference attendees. Attendees are encouraged to make hotel reservations as soon as possible to receive the discounted rate. The deadline to acquire housing within the ACCG room block is this Sunday, September 10Room blocks are still available at the following hotels:

LLC Refund Policy Exceptions for COVID-19

With the number of COVID cases on the rise, please read the information below carefully regarding LLC refund exceptions for COVID-19. ACCG encourages all county officials and others interested in attending the conference to be vigilant prior to and during the conference, as the health and safety of the ACCG membership is priority.

Special LLC Refund Exceptions for COVID-19:
  1. If a registered attendee must cancel at any time prior to attending the conference, due to a confirmed diagnosis for COVID-19, or if a registered attendee must cancel because of orders to quarantine or isolate due to exposure to COVID-19, ACCG will process a refund of 100% of fees paid.
  2. If an attendee contracts COVID-19 while at the conference or begins to feel sick with symptoms associated with COVID and feels the need to depart the conference early, ACCG will process a pro-rated refund for any conference days missed due to the illness and early departure.

Voting Delegates Must Attend the Business
Session to Cast Their County's Vote
Thursday, October 12
1:30 p.m. 
As ACCG is nearing the end of the policy development process, there is an immediate need for all counties to appoint a voting delegate. Voting delegates will cast the final vote on behalf of their county for the Proposed 2024 Policy Agenda and Legislative Priorities, which will guide the Association’s legislative advocacy efforts during the 2024 session of the General Assembly. The business session will take place on Thursday, October 12 at 1:30 p.m. If your county has not appointed a voting delegate, the county chair, sole commissioner, CEO or mayor becomes the voting delegate. That individual can appoint another member of the governing authority onsite by visiting the Voting Delegate booth near registration. Voting delegates will receive an email prior to the conference with additional information.

Important: Voting delegate credentials can be picked up onsite at the voting delegate booth near registration on Wednesday, October 11 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and on Thursday, October 12 from 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
You must have your credentials to vote.
Workforce Housing: Challenges in Meeting Georgia’s Growing Needs 
Opening General Session
Thursday, October 12
9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 
Attend the opening general session to receive insights from issue experts on the housing crisis in Georgia. This moderated panel discussion will explore Georgia’s current challenges in providing an adequate and affordable housing supply to meet the state’s growing population, workforce, and economic development needs. Panelists will provide an overview of the state’s housing shortage; its impact on business and the workforce; trends within the homebuilding industry and rising construction costs; state and local government regulations that citizens demand but may impede housing expansion; increased infrastructure and service delivery demands; and suggestions on how state, local, and private stakeholders can work together on finding solutions to meet current and future housing needs. 

Panelists include representatives from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Home Builders Association of Georgia, Georgia Planning Association President Whitney Shephard, and Bryan County Chairman Carter Infinger with ACCG Director of Governmental Affairs Clint Mueller moderating.
