NFTE is Making Waves on the Global Stage

Our team recently showcased their expertise in Denmark, where Stephanie Alvarado and Elizabeth Kim led a highly successful workshop on measuring and activating the entrepreneurial mindset in youth at the 3e ECSB Entrepreneurship Education Conference.

But that's not all—our impact extends beyond borders. The NFTE Foroige National Finals brought together the best students from 24 counties of Ireland.

▪️ In the battle for the Best Business title, Simply Soap emerged as the shining star!

▪️ Girls in the Game proved that creativity and innovation know no bounds, as they claimed the crown in the Best Innovation category.

▪️ Lastly, Lil' Phils triumphed as the Best Social Enterprise, showcasing their commitment to making a positive impact on society.

President's Perspective

NFTE’s global footprint as a thought leader in education, entrepreneurship, and the future of work continues to grow! In fact, we were represented in a big way at the recent World Economic Forum Growth Summit in Geneva, Switzerland.

Empowering present and future learners was a hot topic at the summit, and I moderated a panel on this very subject – “The Learning Relay: Education to Employment to Lifelong Learning.” Panelists including Saudi Arabia's Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan, Bangladesh's Minister of Education Dipu Moni, Ingka Group's Chief Human Resources Officer Ulrika Biesert, and Generation Unlimited's CEO Kevin Frey engaged in a thoughtful conversation about how policymakers, educators, and business owners can align to prevent the mismatch between the type of education that learners are receiving and what employers need.

I also joined an engaging panel focused on “SMEs as Drivers of Innovation and Employment." While there has recently been greater support of small and micro enterprises, it’s crucial that we continue to remember how important these enterprises, much like the businesses our NFTE students develop, are to the global economy.

Celebrating NFTE Teachers

Teacher Appreciation Week may be over, but our gratitude for NFTE teachers continues to shine bright! They are the true champions who ignite the spark of entrepreneurship in young minds and shape future leaders.

In the words of Brandon Brown, CTE Business Education Certified Teacher at the Dallas Independent School District, "My favorite moment in teaching the NFTE curriculum is witnessing the remarkable growth of my students throughout the entire academic year. Moreover, I find immense joy in listening to their diverse business presentations and observing how some of those projects evolve into full-fledged startup businesses."

As our incredible NFTE student competitors prepare for Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Challenges across the country, they receive countless hours of business plan coaching from dedicated volunteers to help them progress along their entrepreneurial journey.
