*Due to high interest and limited capacity, only a limited number of workshop proposals will be accepted. Proposal submissions will be reviewed and ranked by an external team of practitioners.

The Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) is proud to host the 2023 National Community Schools and Family Engagement Conference in Philadelphia. This national conference brings together people from across the country who believe all children deserve a safe place to live and opportunities to learn and thrive. Inspired by our theme: Spreading Love & Supporting All Children, the conference is designed to catalyze collaboration, action, and a renewed commitment to transforming our practices, partnerships and systems. As a leader and partner in the field of Community Schools or Family and Community Engagement, we invite you to submit a workshop proposal for our 2023 convening.

Workshop proposals are by invitation only. We ask that you do not share or forward this RFP. If there is an organization or individual you think should be invited to submit a workshop proposal, please have them email csxfe@iel.org stating their interest and a few sentences about their work.

The Submission Deadline is Friday, December 31st at 11:59 PM ET.

Are you passionate about Community Schools or family and community engagement? Do you enjoy reviewing proposals? If so, sign-up to be a workshop reviewer for the 2023 National Community Schools & Family and Community Engagement Conference.

In particular, we are looking for those who can evaluate proposals as they relate to our six strands:

  • Collaborative Leadership & Structures that Support Community Schools;
  • Early Learning & Smooth Transitions into the Early Grades
  • Engaging Instruction, Expanded Learning, Opportunities & Out-of-School Time Strategies
  • Integrated, Systemic Approaches for Social Supports;
  • Parent Leadership, Advocacy and Community Organizing;
  • Research, Evaluation and Data Collection; and
  • Strengthening Relationships through Inclusion, Equity & Opportunity

If selected, you will receive 10-12 proposals to review using IEL’s rubric.
