Abraham Bolden ’56 was the first African American Secret Service agent assigned to the White House Presidential Protective Division as appointed by John F. Kennedy in 1961.

William Stanford Davis ’75 is the star of ABC’s award-winning comedy series “Abbott Elementary.”

Carol Daniel ’85 is an award-winning news anchor, talk show host and reporter known as the “Voice of St. Louis”, for engaging, empowering and inspiring her listeners for almost 30 years on KMOX radio.

Drenda Weir Williams ’97 was the first African American female USDA 1890 Scholar at LU, the first African American female-elected president of the NOPBNRCSE, and the first African American female assistant director for operations for USDA/NIFA.
