SED Cocina

Sed Cocina is a phenomenal food fiesta, located in the heart of Montclair, CA! This flavorful friend serves up sumptuous sizzles with a side of smiles. What began as the pioneer of pop-ups salsa-danced their way to victory at Montclair Mall; they've even expanded to a sensational sister store!

With an all-day breakfast and lunch extravaganza, they're the masters of munchies. Indulge in their Tacos de Birria, where tender meets tangy. Dive into Salsa Roja Chilaquiles, customizable with a meaty twist. Nachos? Oh yes, totopos, Oaxaca cheese, and their house Dirty Sauce dance in delicious harmony.

On October 19, water agencies and conservation groups across the country are coming together to educate communities on water’s value and find solutions to combat a rapidly changing climate and aging infrastructure.

Imagine a Day Without Water is a National Day of Action that raises awareness about the value of water. Have you ever thought about where your drinking water comes from? What about where your wastewater goes? On the ninth annual Imagine a Day Without Water, we urge you to take a few steps beyond imaging the reality of going without a resource as vital as water – learning about the systems that deliver water to your homes and businesses each day and the importance of investing in water infrastructure and the workforce that supports it.

As a business, you may wonder where you fit into ensuring a day without water doesn’t become a reality in your community. Here in Montclair, Monte Vista Water District (MVWD) is your high-quality drinking water provider. Portions of the district’s infrastructure are more than 50 years old and have exceeded their lifespan, and MVWD is facing critical needs and challenges with our infrastructure. Wellhead treatment projects are underway for four of the district’s wells along with pipeline replacement projects in progress to ensure water is available at the tap in your home or business.

No matter your reason for participating in Imagine a Day Without Water, continue the conversation with your friends, family, and coworkers about the value of water. A day without water doesn’t have to be inevitable: let’s work toward a reality in which a day without water is something we only imagine.
