Carefully remove stickers on titles.

You receive a title with a sticker on it — what should you do? That’s right, anytime you are presented with a title that has a sticker of any sort on it, the sticker must be removed — a sticker on a title is considered a defaced title.

However, if the sticker is unable to be removed without damaging the title, you must apply for a duplicate title.

Problem Report vs. Clerical Error Statement.

It can sometimes take a minute to realize whether a Problem Report or a Clerical Error Statement is the right form to use, so let’s look closer at the intended purpose for each one.

Processing errors

A Problem Report is used to correct a processing error — something that is incorrect on the applicant summary that prints after the deal is posted.

Download the PA OLRP Problem Report.

Paperwork errors

A Clerical Error Statement is used to correct a paperwork error — something that was written on a document incorrectly.

Download the PA Clerical Error Statement.

These two documents are NOT interchangeable. For example, if you receive a QC Notification for a processing error, returning a Clerical Error Statement will not correct what was processed incorrectly.

Caution! Old Title Info button.

In Messwin, please be vigilant when using the Old Title Info button on Tab B. The purpose of this feature is to provide you the ability to look up a title number when it has not been provided for you.

However, if you’re not careful, an incorrect tag could be transferred. This requires submitting a Problem Report (see above) to correct the resulting errors that affect both the tag for your customer’s vehicle and the other vehicle affected by transferring the incorrect tag.

Good news — there’s an easy way to avoid this issue. When using the Old Title Info button, be sure to clear the Pull tag number & type back to main form checkbox at the bottom right (as seen below), which will avoid transferring the incorrect tag.

Clear this checkbox: Pull tag number and type back to main form
Reconstructed vehicle photos, Inspection Station

The vehicle photos submitted with reconstructed transactions are now required to have the inspection station in the background.
