SCV WATER AGENCY MARKS 5TH ANNIVERSARY

This month marks our 5th anniversary as an agency! Over the past five years, we've merged three agencies, combated PFAS challenges, and endured an ongoing pandemic.

Thank you to our amazing staff and Board for their tremendous efforts. We look forward to the next five years!

2023 IS YOUR YEAR TO SAVE!

Looking for ways to save in 2023? It isn't too early to start planning your drought friendly spring garden! Consider installing a drip irrigation system that uses up to 50% less water than traditional sprinklers.

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE SCV WATER ACADEMY

Apply to join the SCV Water Academy, a FREE curated learning opportunity for residents of the Santa Clarita Valley.

Learn about SCV Water directly from the experts in an engaging, interactive, in-person format.

Topics include:

History and Organization
Infrastructure and Facilities
Water Supply and Quality
Critical Water Issues

Interested in attending? Must be 18 or older, work or live in the SCV Water service area, and be able to commit to attending all four sessions. Space is limited.

Sessions Schedule:

Wednesdays, March 15, 22, and 29, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.*

and Saturday, April 1, 9 – 11 a.m.

*Dinner will be provided before the evening classes.

To be considered for the inaugural SCV Water Academy group, the deadline to apply is Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 4 p.m. Selected participants will be notified by email no later than February 22, 2023.

Work continues at the Earl Schmidt Filtration Plant! The contractor continues placing concrete on the walls of the washwater return basins and has placed rebar and concrete on the new sludge drying bed.
