Hello Community Partners,
The annual Shelter Point-in-Time (PIT) Count and Housing Inventory Count (HIC) is now underway! We are gathering data about all clients who were either temporarily or permanently housed on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023. If you are unfamiliar with the PIT and HIC, please check out our PIT and HIC Information Sheet.
The HMIS Department is working hard to ensure that we collect accurate and complete data. Starting next week, we will be sending out individualized emails to all agencies who have temporary or permanent housing programs. In anticipation of our requests, we highly suggest that you review your HMIS data, specifically:
- All of your clients who slept indoors in the night of the Sheltered PIT Count (1/25/23) must have a housing service entered into HMIS.
- Any of your clients who were in permanent housing must have move-in dates entered into their program enrollment.
We will continue to validate program data through the end of March 2023. To assist you with our requests, we will be holding a PIT & HIC Support Hour every Wednesday in February and March (starting 2/1/23). For more information, please see the links below.
We look forward to working closely with you as we collectively improve our data quality and showcase the amazing work our community has done. If you have any questions or need assistance, please email us.
In Partnership,
HMIS Department
