  1. Metro Region Master Councilor Br. Tristan Schulbaum had the honor of serving as the Herald for the Metro Preceptory yesterday and representing the young men of DeMolay! Thank you Grand Master Kessler for spending time talking and sharing with him! The Public Legion of Honor Investiture is a great way to show the public and the world the beauty of DeMolay! Congratulations to our newest Legionaries! In addition to Grand Master Kessler we were joined by Deputy Grand Master Steven Rubin for. Thank you to the Metropolitan Preceptory for an amazing investiture service superbly led by Dad William M. Sardone, PGM, Active Member. Welcome to our newest legionaries Jubal Dais, David Celentano, Robert Leonard, George Filippidis, Elijah Mills, and Mark Peerson!

Olean Chapter is Back

We saw our chartering of Olean in 2023

It is an ubiquitous part of Christmas, The Salvation Army USA ringing bells and asking for charitable support for their incredible programs to help people get back on their feet. For millions, the red kettles are a symbol of hope and healing. Lakes Region Master Councilor Br. Joseph Ferraro and Tuscarora Chapter Master Councilor-Elect Br. Thomas Tatu helped out Red Jacket Lodge #645 of the Grand Lodge of New York. Way to help others brothers!

What is St. Andrew's cooking up now? To close the year, the young men learned how to make hamburgers, complete with all of the spices, grilled them, made cheeseburgers, had dinner and enjoyed each other's company!

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is to adopt a family for the holidays. Together Electric City DeMolay and Beukendaal Lodge adopted a local family. Tonight we turned the Masonic Temple into the North Pole and carefully wrapped each gift for the family. Also, included was a gift card to purchase their Christmas dinner!

I am so proud of both my lodge brothers and these kind and compassionate youth leaders.

What's the *Buzz* with St. Andrew's Chapter? They have been as busy as a bunch of bees. We could drone on about it but today they visited the Masonic Care Community of NY and worked with"Dad" Bob Butler to make beeswax candles! How cool is that! Thank you to the Trustees of the Masonic Hall and Home for making this happen for our youth!

Knickerbocker Chapter hosted their installation of officers! Congratulations to Br. Dais and and his corps of officers! Thank you to "Dad" Michael Hernandez and "Dad" Jeph Dais for representing our Supreme Council.

DeMolays are young men of action!

Br. Walker of Mohawk Valley is super active in school, a member of the band and orchestra and a key player on his High School Lacrosse Team! What does he do in his down time? He volunteered with Ziyra Shriners of Shriners International at the Masonic Care Community of NY for their Feztivel of Trees!

Because if the influx of new members, a special day was set aside to have full initiations of new members. There were Degrees held simultaneously

"downstate and upstate"

This was a well coordinated effort and a very successful day for young men and DeMolay

Our International Master Councilor Br. Ryan Brown of DeMolay International was able to visit

the Masonic Care Community of NY and paid a visit

on "Dad"Dennis Daugherty, Past State Master Councilor Kansas DeMolay, a Past Executive Officer, and a man who knew "Dad" Land personally.

He was also able to tour the NY DeMolay office, see our archives, artifacts, records, and ceremony books.

He also headed west for a great induction ceremony with Chadwick Bay! This is the first visit to Cattaraugus County by an International Congress Officer. The chapter is now two away from being chartered. After the ceremony, Br. Ryan gave an inspiring flower talk and he and the brothers enjoyed delicious pizza.   International Master Councilor Br. Ryan was able to visit Oneonta Chapter #277 of Grand Chapter of New York, Royal Arch Masons. In addition to beinga DeMolay, Br. Ryan is a Companion in Grand Royal Arch Chapter of the State of Illinois. Oneonta is home to Elias Light Chapter and many of the companions are also DeMolay advisors! Br. Ryan was able to see a lot of the history of DeMolay in Oneonta, including the advisor caps, councilor hats, and a charter signed by Past GrandMaster Frank Deal himself! Br. Ryan was also presented a "Mom" Susan Thomas lapel pin. "Mom" Thomas is a long supporter of our MasonicYouth and these lapel pins are quite the collectors item. It was a most excellent night!

Is it Santa? Is it Dad Edward Tromble?

hmmmmmm

Thank you all for an amazing 2023!

Our data analytics team is crunching our membership data that we will be sharing in a few days

(HINT: You're going to be happy!)

What I am so impressed by is the great work that everyone has done this year to live as a DeMolay. We have met challenges, we have transformed them into opportunities. We have lost loved ones that we have turned into inspiration. We have made a difference in our communities.

In 2024, lets continue to Grow DeMolay, lets continue to live like DeMolays, lets make NY DeMolay even stronger!

Yours for a Stronger NY DeMolay,

-"Dad" Brusoe
