The 2nd Congratulations Set with the ‘Eagle Landing’ Design
The American Silver Eagle has had the same design since it was first struck in 1986. So when the U.S. Mint announced last year that they would be changing the design for the first time ever, the world took notice.
These new 2023 Silver Eagles are the 2nd full year of issue for this new design, making them some of the must-have coins of the next decade.
The 2023 ‘Eagle Landing’ Silver Eagle has the brand-new reverse design featuring an incredibly detailed bald eagle (a bird synonymous with freedom) with an oak branch (symbolizing the strength of our nation) clutched between its talons as it descends to land in its nest.
The obverse of the coin features an updated and enhanced version of the original Adolph A. Weinman rendition of our very own Lady Liberty as she strides forward enveloped in the folds of the American flag.
