Meet our wonderful cartoonist, Ben Ceccarelli!

Ben’s passion for cartoons began early! Starting in second grade, he drew Disney characters and sold them to his classmates for a quarter. Since then, his love for drawing cartoons hasn't changed, but his fee has increased a bit — haha.

Ben grew up in Marlboro, NJ and attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, majoring in Animation. After four years of eating cheesesteaks huddled over his animation light table, Ben moved across the country to try his luck in the fast-paced and fickle animation industry of Los Angeles. He spent over 15 years as a professional animator — selling two animated children's shows, working in Visual Effects for feature films, creating animation for hit shows like "The Office," and "Community," owning his own studio for 7+ years, and even creating original animation for Sir Paul McCartney, which the former Beatle thought was, "quite nice."

In 2018, Ben left the world of animation to explore his new passion of branding for product companies. Now, Ben lives just outside of Seattle, WA with his wife Mary, and is the Chief Brand Officer of a MedTech company out of Boston. Spending time every month creating comics for Vitu (since at least 2011) keeps his cartoon muscles strong and brings him much joy.

Process deals older than 30 days.

A major hurdle that can come up when processing through the EVTR system is the state blocking deals older than 30 days old with no lien stamp from being processed — but no more! You can now process deals older than 30 days regardless of whether they have a lien stamp or not, and even cash deals older than 30 days can be processed.

This good news is meant to help certain dealers catch up on paperwork; however, the state will still keep track of dealers that don’t abide by the Colorado statute set forth on timelines for paperwork submission. In fact, if you enter a deal in Vitu with a lien that is older than 30 days without a lien stamp, you will see an acknowledgement field pop up on the Title & Reg page before you submit.

The state is keeping track of who uses this acknowledgement, so financed deals consistently submitted past the 30 day mark without a lien stamp will put you on the state's radar for not abiding by the statute.

The acknowledgement will not pop up for cash deals, only financed deals without a lien stamp. Again, it's perfectly acceptable to use it when you need to catch up on old deals, but the state doesn't want anyone making a habit of late submissions.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Account Executive.

The acknowledgement appears in a yellow note within Vitu as seen below.
