Dear Health Care Provider,

Effective Monday August 5^th, ordering of state-supplied flu vaccine for the 2024-2025 Respiratory Season will open in the MIIS. Please note that not all formulations of state-supplied flu vaccine will be orderable on the first day of ordering. Additional formulations will become orderable in the coming days/weeks as the State's allocations arrive from CDC.

All state-supplied flu doses in the 2024-2025 Respiratory Season will be Trivalent formulations as opposed to the Quadrivalent formulations that were available for the 2023-2024 Respiratory Season. Refer to the table below for which formulations will be orderable in the MIIS on August 5^th.

There will be no ceiling limits applied to provider sites for the 2024-2025 flu vaccines. The "ceiling limit" and "available to order" columns of the vaccine ordering table have been removed to avoid potential confusion, as they no longer apply.

Even though sites will not be restricted by ceiling limits, it is best practice to request smaller quantities per order, but order more frequently. Sites must review their storage unit(s) capacity before placing flu vaccine requests to ensure there is enough empty space in their storage unit(s) to store all doses requested. Some flu vaccine requests may be reduced due to storage capacity constraints at provider sites.
