Hello LISA,

The AFSCME Local 2620 General Election concluded at 9:00pm on Monday, October 21, 2024. A total of 488 members, representing 18% of the membership, voted electronically, and 0 of the 10 requested paper ballots were received by the election's deadline. The preliminary results are listed here and also below, with the elected majority highlighted.

Please note the following regarding the preliminary results:

• As there was no majority in the race for President, the two candidates with the highest votes will contest in a runoff election beginning Wednesday, November 6, 2024. The two Presidential candidates who will advance to the runoff are:
• Eric Young - 45.3%
• Amir Jafarinejad - 34.9%
• Social Workers Occupational Chair, Evalyn Beauchamp, ran unopposed and was duly elected prior to start of the election; therefore, this section on the preliminary results notice was crossed out.
