The AFSCME Local 2620 Run-off Election concluded at 9:00pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024. A total of 470 members, representing 17.58% of the membership, voted electronically, and 0 paper ballots were requested resulting in no paper ballots casted. The final results for the run-off election are listed here and also below, with the elected majority party highlighted in green below.
Final Run-off Results
Amir Jafarinejad - 257 votes (54.68%)
Eric Young - 213 votes (45.32%)
Regarding the Final Elected Candidate List: It should also be brought to your attention that on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 1:48pm, Dietician/Nutritionist Occupational Chair (DNOC) elect, Donna Caeg, reached out to the Elections Committee to resign from the position, leaving the DNOC position vacant. She consented to sharing the following to the membership:
"...due to an unexpected diagnosis of a serious illness within my family and the need to be there to support them, I will be unable to carry out the duties of DNOC at this time."
