2024-2025 Emergency Solutions Grant and Shelter Assistance Fund Application Deadline Extended

The Iowa Finance Authority has extended the deadline for the 2024-2025 Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) and Shelter Assistance Fund (SAF) application period to Monday, Aug. 14 at 4:30 p.m.


PURPOSE

ESG is a federal program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, designed to assist people to quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis and/or homelessness. SAF is a state program that supports the operations and services of homeless shelters and domestic violence shelters. 


ELIGIBILITY

Eligible categories of assistance include Shelter, Street Outreach, Homelessness Prevention, and Rapid Rehousing. Eligible applicants include units of general purpose local government and private nonprofit organizations.


DEADLINE

The extended deadline for applications is Monday, Aug. 14, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.
