Is Off To An Outstanding Start!

#WSAWildcats Environment & Culture has been on full display right since the start of the school year on August 26. 

Our scholars and staff worked together to create an amazing first week of school. Scholars are learning rules, routines, and expectations! Teachers are enjoying the relationships they are building with everyone!

We introduced second graders and specials students to our new Lancer building, we streamlined the car pool process more and more every day, and even excelled in our first fire drill of the school year. We’ve added over 100 new scholars to our WSA family and we’re off to a fabulous start.

Wayne STEM Academy Works Toward

Purple Star School Designation

#WSAWildcats Environment & Culture: As we enter our second year of operation, Wayne STEM Academy is vigorously working toward earning our Purple Star School Designation. 

The Purple Star School Program recognizes schools that emphasize serving students of military families. Purple Star Schools actively assist military children with school transitions. They implement programs that value military service and civic responsibility. As in the case of WSA, they continuously support their Military Connected Families (staff, scholars, parents, & stakeholders)!

WSA is in the process of working with our families and staff on Purple Star School status. We expect to complete our designation requirements and look forward to announcing our recognition in the very near future.

Open House Opens The Doors

The WSA Leadership Team wishes to thank the hundreds of family members who made our recent Open House such a tremendous success. Parents had the opportunity to see teacher presentations for each grade class, and learn more about school transportation and before- and after-school programs. And of course, our scholars had the chance to meet their new teachers!

To Advanced Learning Programs

#WSAWildcats Academic Model Our scholars are in the process of exceptional learning opportunities, as WSA implements our Walk to Read and March to Math programs.

Walk to Read introduces students to phonics and spelling patterns in a differentiated learning environment. Scholars receive specific lessons each day that they can apply in development of their reading, writing and comprehension skills.

In a similar vein, March to Math Scholars are exposed to creative and stimulating resources to help them build fundamental mathematics skills.
