I want to wish all Susan Lindgren Families and Team Members the most peaceful and happiest of winter breaks and/or holiday seasons with your family and friends! We are fortunate to be in a school community that appreciates and celebrates our many different languages, cultures, and religions. I am honored to be your child or children's Principal, and be a partner with you and the team in their learning.

 

Happy New Year to all of you! 

My hope and wish for all staff, families and students is a very healthy, safe and prosperous New Year. A year full of new learning activities and challenges for all students in an accepting and safe school community. All are welcome here at Susan Lindgren!

Students will always go outside unless the regular temperature is below 0 degrees or the windchill temperature is -10 degrees or below. We will watch the temperature to keep our students safe.

 

We are always in need of gently used or new winter gear, especially waterproof mittens/gloves.

Art Memes Drawing Class

Unleash your child's inner comic with Young Rembrandts' cartoon drawing classes! Watch them master the art of exaggeration and facial expressions in our "Cold Faces" and "Dad Expressions" lessons.

Scent-sational Art with Kidcreate Studio

Come for the pretty pineapple printmaking, but stay for the sweet citrus scent! In this class, we'll draw, paint, sculpt, and more, but we'll do it all with a very special twist—these SCENT-SATIONAL works of art all smell as sweet as they look!

Festival of Nations Deadline: today!

The third annual Festival of Nations event will be here before we know it! Last year, over 300 people attended and celebrated many of the cultures represented in our Susan Lindgren community! The deadline to register to host a table is Today, Thursday, December 19th. However, if you would like to participate, please register as soon as possible, even if it is after this date. REGISTER HERE!

Winter Season is here! 

Discover fun and inspiring classes, workshops, and experiences for the whole family in our Community Education Winter Catalog! Exciting opportunities for all ages await—physical copies will be mailed to SLP residents in mid-December.

 



National Day of Racial Healing in St. Louis Park

 This program is an opportunity for children, teens, neighbors, and community members to learn about each other’s diverse backgrounds, cultures, perspectives and lived experiences. All are invited to participate in the community conversation facilitated by high school students in St. Louis Park. 

The program is free for all ages. Soup and light refreshments provided.

Hey Families, Join us at Winter Break Open Gym

Looking for an activity to do or a place to play basketball during Winter Break? Join us at St. Louis Park Middle School for Youth & Family Open Gym. Students in 4th grade and under must be accompanied by a chaperone (at least 16 years of age). Students in 5th-8th grade can come to Open Gym unaccompanied but must have a ride to and from the Middle School. Pre-registration is required.
