Student Attendance Hours are from 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM.

Consistent patterns and routines help students with their academic success. Attendance everyday and being on time is very important for all students and their learning.

We ask that you try your very best to schedule appointments around the school day as best as you can.

Thank you for your understanding, cooperation and partnership!

Students will always go outside unless the regular temperature is below 0 degrees or the windchill temperature is -10 degrees or below. We will watch the temperature to keep our students safe.

We are always in need of gently used or new winter gear, especially waterproof mittens/gloves.

If you are in need of winter gear, please contact our Social Worker Michelle Bryant at bryant.michelle@slpschools.org

Weekly Quote:

The language, the whole culture of the Lakota, comes from the song of our heartbeat. It’s not something that can quickly be put into words. It’s a feeling, it’s a prayer, it’s a thought, it’s an emotion—all of these things are in the language.” —Larry Swalley, Lakota

Family Resource:

Twenty-one minutes a day of reading outside of school results in higher scores on reading achievement tests and an increase of more than 1.8 million reading words annually (Fisher & Frey, 2018). This means everyday.... not just school days!

Based on the stories of L. Frank Baum, the musical portrays Dorothy’s journey over the rainbow and through the land of Oz to discover that, truly, there’s no place like home. This version, adapted by the Royal Shakespeare Company, features the original music from the 1939 film.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and senior citizens, and free with student ID for all SLPHS students. Purchase tickets at https://gopark.hometownticketing.com
