Currently, there are at least nine different House and Senate joint resolutions dealing with reducing the state income tax and offsetting the revenue loss in various ways – including some variation of imposing a sales tax on services.
Missouri REALTORS® opposes repealing or weakening the consumer protections we proposed and successfully added to the Missouri Constitution, including the 2016 voter-approved amendment barring sales tax on services.
The Missouri REALTORS® lobbying team has and will continue to testify, opposing changing the protections we fought to put into the Constitution and is keeping a close eye on all of these proposals.
