Cardinal Sean O'Malley Celebrates

NDCR'S 20th Anniversary Mass

In a momentous occasion filled with reverence and joy, the students and staff of NDCR welcomed Cardinal Sean O'Malley who presided over the 20th Anniversary Mass commemorating the founding of NDCR. We were thrilled to have the Cardinal return as he presided over our inaugural Mass in 2004, then again at our ten-year Anniversary Mass in 2014.

In his homily, Cardinal O'Malley stated that all gifts are from God, and "Catholic education is about realizing everything we have is a gift." He acknowledged the challenges of immigrant families, urging students to embrace the opportunities afforded to them at NDCR.

Following the conclusion of the Mass, Cardinal O'Malley took the time to personally greet families and students. For the students of NDCR, the Cardinal's visit was more than just a ceremonial event – it was a sacred encounter that helped them appreciate all that NDCR has to offer.

Here's to the next 10 years at NDCR!

Alumni Weekend

What an incredible ALUMNI WEEKEND we had! NDCR welcomed back the graduating classes of 2008-2023 for a nostalgic, heartwarming and FUN weekend. From emotional reunions to reminiscing about cherished memories, the weekend was a testament to the strong bonds forged at NDCR throughout its 20-year history.

The festivities commenced with an Alumni vs. Student basketball game. Each team was introduced to the roar of the crowd. Once the music started and the teams ran in, it was evident both teams came to play - and play hard. While the students brought their best, Alumni won in a narrow defeat of 71-73!

Alumni Social

Saturday night an Alumni Social Dinner was held and for many, this felt like a homecoming. The joy was evident as you looked around the room. Laughter was the main theme and some of this was captured over at the photobooth (pictured above). Though our alumni may have embarked on diverse paths and pursued various careers, their shared experiences at NDCR served as a unifying bond that keeps them connected. We are already counting down the days to our next reunion!
