Valley of Michigan 2024 Council of Deliberation

Brothers all,

The Valley of Michigan is in the early planning stages of having a state-wide performance of the 32°, following the COD session on July 27, 2024. Currently we are working on going to the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, MI. While these early plans are developing, I wanted to make sure everyone understands what we want to accomplish and the goals we need to achieve.

The Valley Board has already agreed to not having the regions performing the 32° between August 1, 2023, thru July 31, 2024. This will ensure we will have a larger class of new 32° members during the all-state presentation at COD. Each region, during this fiscal year, will be presenting any of the 28 degrees, as laid out on the current reunion schedule.

We will be needing the names of individuals interested in being a part of the cast for this special presentation. It is our hope that we can draw cast members from all over the state for this grand event. So be on the lookout for the casting call which will be following this correspondence shortly.

The initial plan is to have the cast members show up on Friday, July 26, 2024, by noon, for a series of rehearsals for the performance the next day. The cast will be required to be at the venue by noon on Friday, so anyone who cannot make that commitment, will unfortunately be unable to be in the degree. On Saturday morning, will be the COD session and after lunch, present the 32° in full ceremonial form. A reception and banquet will follow the presentation. This is shaping up to be a wonderful, first class event for the entire state. It is hoped that anyone and everyone interested would attend. We had a similar event, in 2017, that was held in Bay City, and it is still talked about today. We want to make that lasting impression happen again with this event as well. So, save the date.

Let this email serve as the official notification of the event. So, mark your calendars and plan on attending. It promises to be a memorable event and not one to miss.If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at:ric@32nddegreemasons.org or 313-569-1311

Thank you.
