Student Talent Connect Program | |
We are excited to share that Workforce Planning Hamilton is a partner in Student Talent Connect – a new program designed to support Hamilton employers' access to student talent. Student Talent Connect is a Hamilton Chamber of Commerce program in partnership with the Business + Higher Education Roundtable, and with support from the Government of Canada. Partners include McMaster University, Mohawk College, and Redeemer University.
As you know, there are many misconceptions about work-integrated learning, resulting in companies either avoiding it, or being unsure as to where to start the process. Student Talent Connect is designed to fill those gaps and provide dedicated support to employers to break down those barriers to access.
Through this project, the Hamilton Chamber will serve as a hub for employer engagement - educating SMEs on the benefits of WIL, identifying WIL placement opportunities that meet their needs, and facilitating warm handoffs to us and our fellow PSI partners. Together, Student Talent Connect will diversify Hamilton’s talent pipeline, and facilitate greater workplace integrated learning opportunities for Hamilton students.
