Street repairs are coming to six streets over the next five years, funded through the 2024 General Obligation Bond 20-351:
- Harlow Road from Interstate 5 to the roundabout at Pioneer Parkway
- Aspen Street from Tamarack Street to Centennial Boulevard
- G Street from 10th Street to 23rd Street
- 36th Street from Main Street to Commercial Avenue
- Daisy Street from South 51st Place to Bob Straub Parkway
- 58th Street from Main Street to Thurston Road
Springfield voters approved a five-year, $20 million general obligation bond earlier this past May to fund street repairs on a list of priority streets needing repair. These repairs will extend the useful life of the streets.
City engineers are working on designs for these six street repair projects. Survey work is being conducted in all project areas so you may see surveyors in the area along with crews performing pavement testing.
A paving overlay will be applied to these streets over the next five years. Many of the sidewalk ramps require updates to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and will be constructed with each project.
