2024 General Election Edition

In this Election Edition of our newsletter you will find important information on how you can ensure your voice is heard by voting and ways in which you can help to get out the vote by November 5th!

MISSOURI - VOTE YES ON PROP A

This election season, Missourians have the opportunity to increase the state's minimum wage and establish paid sick days for all Missouri workers.

We are asking you to join us and our partners in voting YES on Proposition A (Prop A).

Currently, one in three Missouri workers do not have paid sick days. Families and caregivers should be able to prioritize their health and well-being without the stress of losing wages. Prop A will ensure that individuals in our community have paid time off to care for themselves, their children, and family by guaranteeing one hour of paid sick leave for every thirty hours worked. Healthy and thriving communities only exist if individuals and families within them are healthy and well.

A vote for Prop A is also a vote for an increase of the Missouri minimum wage to $15 by 2027. Increasing the minimum wage has been proven to improve health, well-being and educational outcomes for families and children and positively impact the economy. Learn more about Prop A at mohealthyfamilies.org.

WOMEN'S HEALTH ON THE BALLOT

Missouri

Amendment 3 will amend the Missouri Constitution to remove Missouri's ban on abortion and establish the right for individuals to make decisions about their personal health care. Voting YES on 3 is a vote for the health and well-being of all Missourians. Learn more and read the full amendment at: moconstitutionalfreedom.org.

Illinois

The Assisted Reproductive Healthcare Advisory Question on the Illinois ballot asks if all medically appropriate assisted reproductive treatments, including IVF, should be covered by health insurance plans that include pregnancy benefits.

The results of this vote have no legal effect on the state's laws, but will allow government officials to gauge public opinion on reproductive healthcare. Voting YES shows Illinois lawmakers that access to IVF must be protected statewide!
