Hill Happenings: Many National Alliance coalition members moved quickly to sign onto a letter in support of S. 3548, The Healthcare PRICE Transparency Act 2.0. This bipartisan bill would be a huge step forward to getting meaningful data into the hands of employers.

The National Alliance is also working on its own letter that reiterates many of the important points made in the sign-on letter and will be closely monitoring and reporting on the bill’s movement through Congress.

Screenings for all Adults Lag Pre-Pandemic Levels: Employers can Help
Screenings for diseases such as heart failure and cancer had not returned to pre-pandemic levels by 2022, and that could present a huge challenge in the coming years, a challenge that may be more acute among racial and ethnic minorities, according to a study in JAMA Health Forum and reported on by Fierce Healthcare.

Employers play an important role in helping employees and their families get back to basics, including health screenings and immunizations. These National Alliance resources in English and Spanish are a quick and easy way to share preventive care messages in the workplace. There's also an immunization fact sheet available to clear up confusion about respiratory virus prevention.

Featured Coalition: Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health
In this new 5-minute video, Neil Goldfarb, GPBCH president and CEO, shares his thoughts on how employers have the power to make change happen in the healthcare system, playing a major role in driving improvements in quality and value in healthcare.

"National research shows that employers are the stakeholder group that's most likely to have a measurable impact on healthcare value in the United States," said Neil.
