Homecoming Week Update

The following students have been nominated by their classmates to represent them for homecoming Court on Friday, October 4 at the Homecoming Game:

SPIRIT WEEK DRESS-UP THEME DAYS

MONDAY: Anything But a Backpack Day

Get creative and use something different than your backpack to carry your books throughout the day!

  • Item may not be bigger than a laundry basket or require additional props, including non-CVCA students or pets.
  • Costume for the day may consist of sweatpants and spirit-wear t-shirts that follow the Dress-up Guidelines

TUESDAY: Disney Day

What Disney character do you secretly wish you could be? A prince? Princess? Fish? Snowman?

  • Princess gowns are permissible, however, the length needs to be below the knee.
  • Costumes must follow the Dress-up Guidelines.

WEDNESDAY: Twins Day

You know what to do! Grab your best friend and pick out your best matching outfits. We want to be seeing double! Just make sure you follow the Dress-up Guidelines!


THURSDAY: Favorite Sports Team Day

Browns? Cavs? Guardians? Bring out your super fan attire and represent your favorite sports team!

FRIDAY: Class Color Day

Seniors: Bright Pink | Juniors: Lime Green | Sophomores: Purple

Freshman: Orange | 8th Grade: Turquoise | 7th Grade: Yellow | 6th Grade: Red


Spirit Week Dress-up Guidelines:

No: Shorts, skirts, jeans, leggings, spandex, camisoles

Allowed: Sweatpants and athletic pants

Gown Dresses are only allowed on Disney Day


Win Points!

Costume participation, hall decorations, ministry outreach participation, and pep assembly competitions all add points towards winning the Spirit Stick for your class or House!

SPIRIT WEEK OUTREACH PROJECTS

Middle School students are to bring items for the LANDING BAGS Canton Area Outreach:

6th Grade: Tooth brush and tooth paste

7th Grade: Liquid dish soap

8th Grade: Package of toilet paper or paper towels

High school students are to bring the following FOOD PANTRY Items in conjunction with Riverwood Chapel:

 9th Grade: Liquid dish soap

10th Grade: Shampoo and conditioner

11th Grade: Deodorant

12th Grade: Small laundry detergent

OTHER FUN THINGS DURING SPIRIT WEEK

Powder Puff Game: Saturday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. in Royals Stadium. Wear pink or green to cheer on your team!

 

Holy Smokes BBQ: Thursday, October 3, beginning at 5:00 p.m. outside the stadium on the basketball court. Come tailgate before the Girls Volleyball match.

  • $6 per ticket for a sandwich, coleslaw, chips, cookie, drink, and admission to the volleyball game
  • Pit Masters Mr. Talbert, Mr. Harr, Mr. McSparran, and Mr. Brower will be smoking meat all day for you to enjoy! So bring your friends and family for some of the best BBQ ever, corn hole, and great music prior to the game!
