New Alcoholic Beverage Laws
The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is providing the a summary of new alcoholic beverage laws that took effect in 2023 and laws that will take effect starting January 1, 2024. This information helps clarify what new statutes and regulations mean but is not regulatory.
Please consult the statute, regulation, or an attorney before taking any action to ensure compliance with the law.

Go-Biz California Competes Tax Credits
GO-Biz is now accepting applications for the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC). There are $164 million in tax credits available during this application period for businesses that are expanding and adding quality, full-time jobs in California that might not otherwise be created by the business or any other business.
The deadline to submit applications is Monday, January 22, at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) and the online application website will automatically close once this deadline has passed. The online application can be accessed at www.calcompetes.ca.gov.

Resolve to Save with Rebates in 2024
Monte Vista Water District (MVWD) wishes you a happy and prosperous new year! In the spirit of commitment and collaboration, MVWD invites business owners and managers to resolve to save more water in 2024 by upgrading to water-efficient equipment for routine operations. Committing to water conservation holds significant benefits, including reduced water consumption, cost savings, and increased energy efficiency.
In partnership with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, MVWD offers a rebate program that includes a variety of water-efficient devices to ease the financial burden of upgrades. A complete list of rebates can be found at www.socalwatersmart.com.
Ranging from high-efficiency commercial plumbing fixtures to water-efficient cooling towers, these devices improve efficiency in water usage, which supports environmental sustainability and reduction in water utility bills.
