Dear Suncadia Club Members,
Suncadia Investors and Leadership are excited to announce starting in January 2024, Suncadia will be investing approximately four million dollars into a major upgrade of the lobby, front entrance, restaurant, lounge, and exterior seating areas. Some of the highlights include:
• Full renovation of Portals and 56 Degrees: The bar will be turned 180 degrees, facing out, allowing for expansive views of the mountains.
• A new conditioned sunroom will be created on the existing patio and a new patio with a wind wall will be constructed.
• 56 Degrees bar will open out to the great room with more varied and inviting seating.
• The bar will be active all day: coffee in the morning, lunch service, and dinner in the evening.
• New furniture, lighting, wall coverings, and other carefully curated finishes will enhance the great room, lobby entrance, den/sitting area, -56 Degrees lounge, and Portals restaurant.
• Grand, new front doors at the entranceway of the lobby will also be added.
Below, you will find helpful information regarding the timeline of the project and resort operations.
Anticipated Timeline:
January 5th – February 12th: Construction on the great room, lobby, den, and Fifty-6 Degrees begins. These areas, including the main entrance to the Lodge, will be closed off for owner/guest access. The front desk will be relocated to the hallway between the guest elevators and the first-floor guestrooms during this time with bell services stationed at the porte-cochere to escort guests to the check in area.
There will be a temporary lounge during this time in the Sentinel Boardroom, offering guests a comfortable location to enjoy while Fifty-6 Degrees is under renovation.
Coal House Caffe will be closed for what we estimate to be a 10-day period during this time, coffee will be served out of Portals during that time.
During this time, guests will access Portals and the conference center by exiting the building through the pet entrance and walking along the front-side of the building to enter through the conference center.
February 12th – April 30th: Beginning February 12th, guests and owners will be able to access the lobby and front desk; however, the great room will still be under renovation, and a temporary wall will be in place to allow guests and owners to access the room elevators.
We will begin renovation of Portals during this time, and a temporary wall will be put in place just past the parking garage elevator. We will be serving breakfast daily in Owen’s Ballroom. Lunch and Dinner will be offered at the Stovehouse. Shuttle transportation will be provided.
The anticipated timeline is subject to change, and as stated previously, we will keep owners informed and updated on our progress and any changes to the timeline.

Front Desk Operations:
January 5th – February 12th: Temporarily relocated to the pet entrance hallway.
Coal House Caffe:
January 5th – February 12th: TBD 10-day closure between.
Guest Room Dining:
January 5th – April 30th: 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily. Offering free delivery during the renovation period.
The Lodge Lounge in Sentinel:
January 5th – April 30th: 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. daily. Offering all-day dining menu.
The Stovehouse:
January 5th – April 30th:
Lunch: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Dinner: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
