Hello MHCC Familia,
Spring is in the air! 50-70 degrees and sunshine in Michigan in February has been fabulous. Though March is upon us, I hope you were able to engage with the Chamber in February, as we provided several informative business development programs and workshops, along with a 153-person business networking opportunity, to support your business connections.
This month our team is excited to review your responses to our Membership Survey. They will help us understand your experience with the MHCC and how we can better serve you. Program and workshop opportunities continue in March, as we look forward to hosting a great in-person session on ‘Creating Social Media Content for Your Business’ at NewLab in Detroit March 6th, it’s not too late to register for this workshop! We also have a virtual program that will be conducted in Spanish specifically for the food and beverage industry, entitled ‘The ABC’s of Starting a Food and Beverage Business in Michigan’ via Zoom on March 25th. See details below.
We wrap-up March with our first Signature Event of the year, our 20th Annual Economic Forum Breakfast on Thursday, March 28th. You won’t want to miss this one, as there are only 2-more weeks to register/sponsor. We’re excited to be at a new venue – the 16th Floor of One Campus Martius in downtown Detroit, with Marissa Solis, Sr. Vice President, Global Brand and Consumer Marketing for the NFL as our Keynote Speaker. Marissa is a magnetic Latina business leader with over 25 years of marketing management, communications and sales experience in both the U.S. and Latin American markets. Mark your calendars and gather your team to join us and hear her firsthand journey, expertise, and pearls of wisdom. See details below for registration and sponsorships.
Sincerely,
Mark A. Moreno

Hey there MHCC family! We here at the Detroit Tigers have some exciting news to share. For the second consecutive year, we are expanding our Spanish radio broadcast. All home weekend series this season will feature a broadcast in Español – 45 games in total. Fans can listen to those broadcasts on the Audacy app, free to access throughout the state of Michigan, or worldwide via the MLB app (with subscription). There will also be an SAP option for viewers watching weekend Bally Sports Detroit games from Comerica Park.
Lydia Cruz, Manager of Communications & Broadcasting, Ilitch Sports & Entertainment
