From the Classroom to the Business World


In a world where innovation and adaptability are crucial for success, entrepreneurship education is a vital tool for shaping future business leaders. Renjini Nair, a Business Management and Economics Teacher at ACS International School Doha, NFTE's partner in Qatar, shares her experience teaching the NFTE curriculum! “Introducing this course at ACS Doha, the first course established in Qatar, challenged conventional teaching methods, emphasizing skill over tradition,” Renjini shares.

Support Local Students and Future Entrepreneurs at NFTE Regional Competitions

The competition season for Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) students kicked off in Dallas on May 10 and made its way to Miami on May 15! The series of regional competitions will continue across the U.S., culminating on June 18 in Philadelphia.


RSVP now to attend upcoming regional competitions in person and show your support for local students vying for seed capital to turn their business dreams into reality.


Meet the first-place winners from the South and Southeast regions:

  • Lodias Martinet from Grand Prairie School for the Highly Gifted in Grand Prairie, Texas, with his business idea Style Selector, an app that generates outfits for those who don’t know what to wear.
  • Morgan Shepperd from Stephenson High School in Dekalb County, Georgia, with her business idea MathYourWay, which provides personalized tutoring services to students who need additional assistance in advancing their mathematics knowledge. 


These students have set themselves apart with their innovative business ideas. They will get the chance to present these ideas at the national finals in New York on Oct. 10, vying for the National Champion title along with cash prizes!



The Role of Policy in Guiding NFTE's Expansion


A team of graduate students from the George Washington University (GWU) Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration partnered with NFTE to conduct a policy scan across the U.S. This policy scan aimed to examine the local education policy landscape to align NFTE's expansion with its core mission and values and uncover states with recent legislature and education policies that advocate for economic education.

NFTE and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unity Foundation announced their collaboration to support aspiring entrepreneurs at the NFTE Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards gala. “The G-Unity Foundation is well-aligned with NFTE in our efforts to foster inclusive and conscious capitalism by igniting the entrepreneurial mindset of youth in underserved communities,” said NFTE President & CEO Dr. J.D. LaRock.

This Small Business Month, PayPal will be working with NFTE Mid-Atlantic students to help them explore different career fields, engage their entrepreneurial mindset, and build their networks. Together, NFTE and PayPal are creating economic opportunity, empowering learners to own their futures, and reducing economic inequality by bringing the power of entrepreneurship to the next generation!
