Join us on April 18 to celebrate the power of place at Open House New York's signature fundraiser, the Open City Benefit, at the Rooftop Pavilion + Farm at North Javits, part of the recent $1.5 billion expansion of the Javits Center.

While New Yorkers know Javits as a mammoth glass convention hall, recent renovations have transformed the site into a model of green infrastructure. It is now home to both trade shows and 50 species of birds, supporting New York's biodiversity while generating more than $2 billion in economic activity.

At the event, the Open City Award will be presented to the North Javits design-build team led by Lendlease and Turner Construction, WXY architecture + urban design, TVS, Moody Nolan, Stantec, and Magnusson Klemencic Associates. Alan Steel, president and CEO of New York Convention Center Operating Corporation, will accept the award on behalf of the project team.

This festive evening will take place in the saw-toothed pavilion of North Javits, surrounded by a one-acre rooftop farm, pollinator meadow, apple orchard, and shade garden—with spectacular skyline and river views.
