HART’s Holiday Festival Update!

Our upcoming fundraiser is moving forward beautifully. Thanks to our community partners, a full day of live music, a multi-cultural food court, wine tasting, and a bar stocked with beer is set to go!

We’ve wonderful crafts for holiday gifts provided by local artists, a raffle with fabulous baskets, and a silent auction with top notch items!

We’re gaining ground with our fundraising goal having raised over $18,000 so far, and we’re working hard to triple that amount!

Please save the date 11/16/24 and support our local businesses as they help us expand transitional housing on the Oak Hills Church Campus. Together, we are a part of the solution to reduce Homelessness in Folsom!

Farewell to Steve Watters

It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Steve Watters as he concludes his term on our board, leaving behind a legacy rich in compassion and commitment to our transitional housing programs. Steve's extensive experience with First Step Communities, which offers interim housing and emergency shelter, has been invaluable to our mission at HART of Folsom. His collaboration with Stephen AuClair in developing plans for our envisioned village at Oak Hills Church exemplifies his dedication to innovative solutions for homelessness.

As a great resource to our board, Steve's deep understanding of Folsom's landscape and its challenges has profoundly influenced our decision-making processes and strategic initiatives. His insights into our transitional housing clients have been instrumental in fostering trust and empowering those we serve.

Steve's invaluable contributions to HART go far beyond mere insights; he is a beacon of hope and understanding in our mission to support those experiencing homelessness in Folsom. With his deep knowledge of county operations and various non-profit resources, he navigates the complexities of reaching out to homeless communities in shelters and temporary housing with remarkable ease. As a dedicated Folsom resident, Steve not only brings essential resources to the table but does so with a genuine compassion that resonates deeply with those in need. It's truly a blessing to collaborate with someone who embodies diligence and care, all while infusing our efforts with a warm sense of humor that brightens even the toughest days. His ability to build positive relationships within the homeless community showcases how effective and compassionate outreach can create meaningful change.

As we reflect on Steve’s significant contributions, let us honor his legacy by continuing to support HART’s mission and actively engaging with our community to address homelessness together. Let us all embrace this spirit of collaboration and community engagement, as together we can forge impactful solutions for individuals who need our support most. Join HART’s mission today, and become part of a collective movement that empowers and uplifts our community!
