Hello Community Partners,
The annual Shelter Point-in-Time (PIT) Count and Housing Inventory Count (HIC) is now underway! We are gathering data about all clients who were either temporarily or permanently housed on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024. If you are unfamiliar with the PIT & HIC, please check out our PIT and HIC Information Sheet.
The Data & Analytics Department is working hard to ensure that we collect accurate and complete data. Starting next week, we will be sending out individualized emails to all agencies who have temporary or permanent housing programs. In anticipation of our requests, we highly suggest that you review your HMIS data by running your program roster [GNRL-106] Program Roster and specifically reviewing:
- All your clients who slept indoors in the night of the Sheltered PIT Count (1/24/24) must have a housing service entered HMIS.
- Any of your clients who were in permanent housing must have move-in dates entered their program enrollment.
We will continue to validate program data through the end of March 2024. To assist you with our requests, please join Wednesday's Open Office Hours from 1pm - 2pm in February and March (starting 2/14/24). For more information, please visit our How Can We Help You webpage.
We look forward to working with you to have the best data reporting to HUD possible and thank you for your attention to this very important process.
In Partnership,
HMIS Department
