Dear unit leaders and summer camp coordinators,
Here are the latest updates from your summer camp team.
Tentaroo Payment Processing:
Last week, we hosted a Zoom conference on the new Tentaroo payment platform. This is the first year units will be able to make payments directly through the Tentaroo platform. We recorded the session which contained several helpful tips and demonstrations. You can review a recording HERE. The passcode is: pp3x4i8=
A couple key items to keep in mind:
- When you get to the payment page, you can choose to pay via an eCheck and avoid any convenience fees.
- Units can purchase a quantity of spots at the current rate by making a payment through the portal. For example, to secure 10 spots at the Tier 1 rate, make a payment of $5,200.
- You do not need to build a roster at this point, but you can!

Speaking of payments, the deadline to take advantage of the Tier 1 discounted rate of $520 is Thursday, February 29th.

From the Program Team:
Our camp program director, Seamus Getty, is working with his area directors to put the final touches on the program schedule and Merit Badge listing. The goal is to publish both by March 1st. Program questions? Reach out to Seamus via email.
From the Business Manager:
Michelle is excited to announce the opportunity to pre-purchase and customize 2024 camp T-shirts. Units can order T-shirts with their unit number, council abbreviation and town imprinted on the sleeve. Deadline for placing an order for customized T-shirts is April 15th. Staff Positions Available:
We still have several positions available on our summer camp staff. If you have a Scout or Scouter who might be interested in working at Ockanickon, more information and an online application is available HERE. If you have any questions about specific positions or qualifications, please reach out to me via email.
Website Update:
The council is currently moving our website onto the Tentaroo website platform. This transition should take place on or around March 12th. Many of you have already interacted with the new site while making your camp deposit. You can currently access the staging site at ockanickon.tentaroo.com. Once we go live, the URL will be ockanickon.org. We will focus on keeping the new site up to date with all current information.
Virtual Leaders Meeting:
Lastly, save the date for our online, virtual leaders meeting on Saturday, May 4th. We’ll go over the most up to date program and food service information.
