Happy New Year, Friends! 🎉

In July of last year, I embarked on the somewhat questionable goal of obtaining a Red Cross Lifeguard certification. The experience, from my initial moments of humility in the pool to the arduous certification process in August, left me battered but successful. I vowed that if this certification is helpful, I would stay determined to maintain my waterborne stamina. While I could delve into theological reflections on water symbolism in human experiences, such as gestation, birth, and baptism, I'll save that for another occasion. Swimming regularly has given me an appreciation for the rhythmic breaststroke, and the meditative act of 'blowing bubbles'.

In the repetitive blowing of bubbles during my swim today, I reflected on the conclusion of the 2023 calendar and contemplated the challenges and excitement that lie ahead. Although a detailed report on our Ignite Generosity appeal will follow, I'm thrilled to share a preliminary update—we exceeded our goal by over $50,000! YOU RESPONDED IN A BIG WAY TO OUR APPEAL! THANK YOU and BLESS YOU! 

The next exciting step for UCCI is opening registration for the remainder of 2024 events. We believe that we have improved and simplified the registration process. Returning guests will benefit from the convenience of working with their established accounts. I encourage you to take the time to read our registration communications and instructions thoroughly, and I am confident that this year's experience will be smoother and more enjoyable for all. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to host you, whether you're returning or joining us for the first time in 2024!

We are excited to introduce Camp Daycholah, our summer camp experience for youth of all ages. The weeks of camp are organized around age groups and activities, and we offer a variety of session lengths to help find the ideal fit for your camper.
