Translating to 'The Green Valley,' La Combe Verte pays homage to the lush landscapes of the Willamette Valley. This Pinot Noir embodies strength and grace thanks to fruit sourcing from the crème de la crème of vineyards in the region. Founded in 2008 by Erica Landon and Ken Pahlow - Walter Scott specializes in expressive, limited Pinot Noirs.
Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir that is sourced from four vineyards: Distraction, Sojeau, Temperance Hill, and Witness Tree in the Eola-Amity Hills. Ambient yeast fermented and aged 10 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which were new.
Tasting notes: A gorgeous glistening medium ruby core with a light raspberry rim in the glass, the 2022 La Combe Verte Pinot Noir captivates with aromas of black raspberries, licorice root, dried lavender, black tea, and pink peppercorn. The palate offers bright, spicy red fruit, tea-textured tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, pure finish that delights!
Experience the essence of Oregon's terroir with 'La Combe Verte' from Walter Scott! It boasts a symphony of bursting red fruit flavors and the earthy undertones of a forest floor, all balanced with vivacious acidity and smooth tannins, making it an exquisite complement to your table.
