Test for Baylor TIP by February 28

If your student hasn't yet taken their online test for admission to Baylor TIP, there is still time! Any student in grades 4-12 can test with us at any time through the end of the school year. However, 7th-grade students who wish to be invited to the 7th-grade Recognition Ceremony at Baylor University in April must complete their testing by February 28.

Districts and schools that are offering testing on-site should be sending their testing date(s) to us and uploading rosters soon.

Summer Course Registration Opening This Month!

Course descriptions and registration for summer classes will be available later in January, so be on the lookout for that information soon! As in the past, we will be offering a variety of course options for students in grades 1-12 on various dates throughout June and July.

This year we are especially excited to expand our offerings to include residential courses for students in grades 8-12, so interested students can enjoy living on Baylor's campus for a week. Our one-week, residential courses will be offered on the following dates:

  • June 9-15
  • June 16-22
  • June 23-29

Baylor TIP Leadership Society

In the fall, we established our first society for students in grades 8-12: Baylor TIP's Student Advisory Council. The idea for the society originated from a group activity that occurred during a September Super Saturday class, and we couldn't be more grateful for the students involved! Via email and virtual meetings, these students have been providing us with valuable input and ideas for the future development of Baylor TIP. Participation is currently available via invitation only while we work on developing our structures and protocols, but by the end of 2024, both it and other societies that are currently in development will be open to any interested students via application.

Personalized Talent Development Advising Coming Soon!

In August 2023 we began working with one of our partner parent groups to pilot a personalized talent development advising program. We've been thrilled with the results and are finalizing our plans for moving the program out of the pilot stage. Once we do so, all Baylor TIP families will be able to purchase an advising package that connects their family with an experienced advisor who can offer 1:1 assistance that focuses on their student's continued talent development. Depending on their grade level, students may receive help understanding their test scores and selecting appropriate high school or college classes that match with their talents and interests; exploring extracurricular and summer options for continued talent development; and choosing and applying to the types of colleges, majors, and careers that may best serve their needs.
