We give thanks to our current Vestry members who have fulfilled their term: Beth Bohnsack, Beverley Cunningham, Heather Graham, George Hines, and Mike Howard. Heather served as our Senior Warden for an additional year over her previous term to maintain continuity through the search process. She is now stepping down and the last two years of that term will be filled by a new candidate. | |
DIMITRI CHIMERAKIS
Dimitri Chimerakis and his wife, Jen, have been members of Good Shepherd since they were married in 2017. While Dimitri grew up in North Palm Beach and regularly attended Catholic church, they found a home at Good Shepherd right away when they became residents of Tequesta and were looking for a new spiritual home.
Dimitri is a Vice President with The Palm Beach Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley. He specializes in providing exclusive and highly personalized financial services to a select group of clients. With a focus on trust, experience, and tailored guidance, he works closely with clients to customize wealth management strategies that create an effective road map to help them reach their goals.
A graduate of Villanova School of Business, he was a four-year varsity tennis player and academic standout. A proud supporter of his Alma Mater, Dimitri is a founding member of the Villanova Club of Palm Beach where he continues to serve as President to this day. Dimitri also serves as President of the Planned Giving Council of Palm Beach County and has proudly served on the Highballs & Hibiscus Committee benefitting children’s services at Jupiter Medical Center and proudly represents the Cognizant Classic as an Ambassador.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dimitri is passionate about leadership, sports, and setting a positive example for youth. During his free time, he enjoys golf as a member at Tequesta Country Club, tennis, and training for endurance races. He served on the search committee to call Fr. Groff and regularly attends Sunday services at both 8:00 and 10:00. Residing in Tequesta, FL, with his wife, Jen, son, Chase, and labradoodle puppies, Bear and Teddy, Dimitri is extremely optimistic about the future at Good Shepherd Church with Sanford as the new rector, and was flattered to be considered to serve on the vestry.

JANICE THOMAS
Janice Thomas, along with her late husband, Roger, visited Good Shepherd and it took that Sunday to decide they had found “We Have a Place for You” and in November 2018 transferred their membership to Good Shepherd.
Shortly thereafter, Janice became a Eucharistic Minister, a reader, and attends bible study on a regular basis. In 2019 they were Received into the church by Bishop Eaton. Janice served on the Search Committee for Father Groff. Before transferring to Good Shepherd, Janice was a member of Jupiter First Church where she was a Deacon, led bible study for nine years, and served on Church Council for three years and was Council Chair in 2014. Janice was on the Search Committee when the Rev. Dr. Barry L. Johnson retired. Prior to that Janice was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Palm Beach for 33 years. Janice was very active in bible study, both as student and teacher, served on several church councils and was a regular reader and Communion Assistant.
Janice is currently retired. In her professional career, she was a certified paralegal. In her volunteer career, Janice was a Guardian ad Litem in Palm Beach County representing abused children in several very high profile cases. She served on the Board of Friends of Abused Children which became Friends of Foster Children for over 20 years before retiring two years ago. Roger and Janice were married one month short of 49 years. Roger lovingly brought three daughters to the marriage and together they have a son and a daughter and are blessed with eight grandchildren. Janice is very excited to be part of a new vision with Father Groff.

Caroline Boren is an active member of Good Shepherd who started attending regularly before the pandemic and became a member in 2022. Caroline is married to Duane, and they have a six-year-old daughter, Vivien. As a cradle Episcopalian, Caroline values involvement in her church, seeking both a spiritual home and a loving community. She has volunteered for Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and the Christmas Pageant. She occasionally helps in the church office. As a Girl Scout leader, her troop has contributed to the food pantry.
In 2020, Duane and Caroline enrolled Vivien in Good Shepherd Episcopal School. They chose the school for the values, nurturing environment, and active protocols for Covid.
